Dog parks on Rømø
Your dog is welcome at our campsite, on the motorhome pitches and in the Classic cabins (the Family cabins are pet-free). Here is what you need to know about bringing a dog to Rømø.
Dog parks on Rømø: where your dog can run free
Rømø has fenced dog parks where your dog may run off-lead all year, as long as it comes back when called:
- Lakolk, about 4 km from us
- Kirkeby Plantage by Hviddal Sø, about 5 km from us
- Vråby Plantage at the car park on Langdalsvej
Always close the gate behind you so dogs and wildlife stay apart.
On a lead everywhere else
In the villages, the holiday-home areas, the dunes and the plantations, your dog must always be on a lead. On the beach, the lead rule applies from 1 April to 30 September. From 1 October to 31 March your dog may be off-lead if it is fully under your control. On Blue Flag beaches such as Lakolk Strand, dogs are not allowed in the Blue Flag zone while the flag is up. Always bring a bag.
